Into the Storehouse

Aunty Vimalamma

I came in February 1988 to Adonai with my two children. My husband had just left the United States of America. I was troubled and desperately seeking help. Bro. S.R. Manohar, an evangelist introduced me to Adonai. We were in a pathetic condition financially, struggling to make ends meet and trying to raise two school going kids. Emotionally broken, due to the pain of separation after 14 years of marriage, I felt so shattered. It was in this state that I came to Adonai. Here I found people who loved us and came along side us. They reached out in kindness, each member doing their best to stand and support us. I can never forget how the church came forward to help in my children’s education for three years. Pastor Victor & Ann just being with us and encouraging us reaching out to us at our level. People like Arun & Suzy who helped us in many practical ways like transport or even financially giving me loans etc. Ezekiel & Rachel and many others also went the extra mile. We did not even have proper clothes but people in the church used to bless us with clothes. We were cared for by God and his family in those troubled times.

Adonai taught me the importance of tithing. From a place of nothing, I learnt the value to tithe. Giving to God even when I had barely anything for myself. Today I can bear witness that the word of God is true as it is said in – Mal 3:10, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

The Lord has proved himself faithful. Today my children are married and are doing well. I have a house of my own, my husband has returned back and I have been blessed in every way. Having received in my time of need, today I am in a place where I can bless others. It is my joy to help people and stand with them in their time of need.

Adonai imparted values that can never be forgotten. We have learnt to live kingdom lives, and to walk trusting in the Lord in all circumstances. I am a part of the Daughters of Zion and it is my privilege to intercede for people.

Pastor Victor and Ann are part of my life they have been strength to me and helped me to grow in the Lord and to be able to stand on my feet.

What I am today is the grace of God and fellowship of His family the church.
